Process Measurement

Main Features

We all measure activities in life whether you realise it or not. You set a time to wake up, you organise yourself to reach a destination (some are more successful than others!), you perform a task and you eat and sleep. Most of you govern these events by time. Time if you are organised can be your saviour , on the other hand, it can be at your peril if you are not.
This course will change your life! (We make no apologies for this!)

Students will learn about process measurement by understanding what makes up a process and how to dissect it and re-engineer it. As the ‘Greats’ (Deming, Taylor, etc) would say, you won’t fix what you don’t measure. Sure, you might apply a band aid solution, however, when it is haemorrhaging, a band aid won’t cut it, there will always be leakage, or worse!
For any person or business looking to introduce automation, learning to accurately measure the existing process costs and operations is critical to identify areas of cost impact.

In this course we discuss the history behind process measurement, and why we measure processes. Continuous Improvement Managers use measurement processes to understand work processes and workflow. This is how costs tied to process application are measured and provide the path to continued development and innovation.
Within the course framework, there is a practical exercise that will change your life and your thinking in relation to everything you do. (and it’s as simple as making a cup of coffee!)

We also take a look at the next generation tools development and where they are likely to head. It is highly recommended students purchase the online text reference book “Inventory & Other Grocery Items” written by Terrence Walmsley and available at Amazon Kindle. (very reasonably priced)
This course contains eight modules with module quizzes and a course final test. Students are required to complete all to the required standards (80% and above) to receive certification.

Once you understand the basics, the true power of Key Performance Indicators – KPIs, will become clear. The iA-Inventory Academy Course – KPIs Simplified, takes you on this journey.
